The TEACH logo depicts a mandarin duck.

It is a bird species native to East Asia, but has now also become established in European landscape gardens. In fact, there are probably more Mandarin ducks living in the wild in Europe today than in East Asia. Their plumage is wonderfully colorful. In our case, it bears the colors of the three partner universities: blue (University of Bonn), red (Korea University) and purple (University of Tsukuba). This makes it clear how a lively project can emerge from three different sources. The mandarin duck is a symbol of loyalty between partners.

It is the perfect embodiment of what TEACH should stand for: Unity in diversity, shared growth and the joy of reliable relationships.
